The 50th anniversary has seen publication of the Best of 50 Years of the North Laine Runner, a 180-page fully-illustrated book including news reports, life stories, dramatic events, scandals, celebrities, interviews and features on our changing landscape and lifestyles. It's available now at Brighton Toy Museum in Trafalgar Street, at Infinity Foods in North Road, and you can order it by contacting meancol@gmail.com
The calendar
This has been selling well and you can still get copies of our special 2026 anniversary calendar at North Laine Community Association meetings and social events and at Brighton Toy Museum in Trafalgar Street
The exhibition
The Jubilee Library hosted a look back at the development of North Laine and memorable pictures of its fascinating history. The exhibition has now ended but, due to demand, it will return later in the year at venues to be announced. Keep in touch with latest information online or in the Runner news magazine
The memorabilia
There will be items just to enjoy, some to display and some to buy. We will have tote bags, pens, coasters and window stickers available throughout 2026.
