Street party, 25th September 2011
By Fiona Buckley, North Laine resident
The Tidy Street community hosted yet another successful street party on 2th September.
Residents brought together
Kim MacDonald took on the organiser role this year and did an absolutely fantastic job of bringing together the majority of residents for tea, cake, wine, BBQs and music. The party as always provided an opportunity for new residents to meet their neighbours, old friends to catch up, the kids to go a little crazy in a car free zone and promoted the community feel that North Laine is famous for.
Lots of activities
There were bric-a-brac stalls, face painting and a bouncy slide for the ever growing number of Tidy Street children, who played together for hours, consuming cake, sweets and hot dogs...
Pulling it all together
I'd like to say a huge thank you to Kim and the rest of the group who took the time to pull it all together. It has now become an annual day on the family calendar and we look forward to next year's bash.
