Corner of Church Street/Portland Street

This site on the corner of Church Street and Portland Street has been derelict for more than 14 years, although it was recently (early 2011) the temporary home of a community garden nicknamed The Mound.

The bailiffs destroyed it

Sadly a request for a Meanwhile Lease was ignored and the site owners managed to get a court order allowing the bailiffs to come in and destroy it.

A new planning application

The site is now (September 2011) subject to a new planning application.
