Collecting a free window-box and seeds

Featured in 'City News' for Autumn 2011

A photo of a Kensington Place resident was featured in the Autumn 2011 issue of City News.

Photographed collecting her free window-box

She was shown collecting her window box and seeds at the workshop run by Harvest Brighton & Hove and the City in Bloom campaign in Pelham Square on 25th June. Residents from Kensington Place and Pelham Square had been invited to collect a free window-box, compost and seeds and to learn how to grow ‘cut-and-come-again’ salad leaves. They were then encouraged to display their window-boxes on their window ledges for the South and South East in Bloom judges to see.

Result of the competition

The City Centre was awarded a Silver Medal in the competition.
