A brief history
By Maureen Brand, North Laine resident
Built in 1826, Regent Street is now part of the redeveloped Jubilee site and a quiet side road running between North Road and Church Street. A Mineral Water Manufactory worked at the Church Street end in 1876.
New building
A back entrance to the Gardner Street 'Komedia' is on the west side with some newly converted apartments, and on the east side is the rear of the new Jubilee Street shops and apartments.
