Hundreds of people marched through Brighton on Saturday 30th October 2010 in protest against Government cuts.
Trade unionists joined concerned parents, workers and politicians in highlighting their opposition to the slashing of public sector budgets. It came ten days after Chancellor George Osborne outlined £81 billion of cuts to bring the budget deficit back under control.
Organisers say about 900 people attended the march, which began with a rally at The Level at about midday.
Traffic was brought to a temporary halt by police as the march passed along Trafalgar Street, Queen’s Road and North Street before finishing in Victoria Gardens at about 2.30pm.
