Save our streets campaign

The News of the World newspaper brought its roadshow to the North Laine on 30th September 2009 to discuss violence in the community. The debate, under the title 'Save Our Streets', was held at Brighthelm Church-and-Community-Centre and was chaired by London's Biggest Conversation (LBC) Presenter Nick Ferrari. The panel consisted of Home Secretary Alan Johnson, Sussex Chief Constable Martin Richards, Wing Commander Sylvie Silver, Barry Mizen and Father John Wall from St Andrew's Church in Moulsecoomb.
