Street entertainment at the Brighton Festival 2008

A photo gallery
By Maureen Brand, North Laine resident

Over the years much of the street entertainment during the Brighton Festival has been in or near North Laine.  The Streets of Brighton weekend, which ran until 2007, brought together many types of street entertainment and was much enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.  In 2008 the Festival Fringe entertainment was largely centred in New Road and the Jubilee Street area, as these photographs show, but Morris dancing came to the North Laine.
