A series of podcasts

By Peter Crowhurst, North Laine resident

Ever wondered why North Laine is a Conservation Area? This series of podcasts will take you around North Laine, introducing you to a time when it  was the industrial and commercial centre of Brighton and was where wood, animals and water were processed into furniture, meat, beer, and mineral water.

The route

The route of the tour follows the route in the leaflet 'Discover the North Laine on foot'.  A map of the tour can be found in the column on the right or here for you to print off and use during your walk. Have fun discovering the colourful history of this area.

Where to begin

Begin your tour at Brighton Museum. This series of podcasts is for Walk 1.

Another walk

A second series of podcasts for another walk can be found here.

Guided walks as an alternative
